SteelFiber Golf Shafts

ZZ ON TOUR

"When I switched to Aerotech Golf shafts, I was looking for a lighter weight iron shaft that could provide me with consistent ball flight and spot on distance control. Aerotech's SteelFiber shafts fit the bill perfectly. The SteelFiber technology has allowed me to take advantage of all the benefits of a graphite shaft yet still maintain complete control over my golf ball."
— Matt Kuchar, PGA Tour pro

"I play the SteelFiber i95 iron shafts and really love the feel and performance they give me. Moving away from the x100's and into the SteelFiber i95’s has allowed me to develop three different shot trajectories, instead of just a high and low. Plus, I've picked up a few more yards in the process."

— Cameron Beckman, PGA Tour pro

Claymore

Claymore MX48:

Here’s a glimpse into the new age of driver shafts. Constructed with the new High Modulus Microtex carbon fiber the Claymore MX48 is the most stable ultra-light wood shaft ever produced. The MX48’s filament wound, super light weight and moderate tip stiffness allows golfers to maximize club head speed without sacrificing control and accuracy. Don’t worry about overpowering this super light…it won’t happen.

Claymore MX60:

With the same futuristic construction as the MX48 the Claymore MX60 offers a player slightly higher weight and lower torque than its lighter counterpart. For a player looking to fine tune launch angles and spin rates this Claymore MX60 is the right choice. If you’ve been playing heavier driver shafts in the past just to maintain stability now its time to try the new generation of ultra-lights, the Aerotech Claymore MX60 and MX48.

Claymore LD Series:

The Claymore LD series shaft is designed for the forces generated by the modern long drive specialists. The LD series shaft is constructed with the same Microtex carbon fiber as the MX48 and MX60 giving this shaft the ability to hold up to the forces exerted by world class long drive competitors. This shaft was introduced to the Remax long drive circuit in early 2009 with incredible success. The Claymore was in the bag of at least 13 competitors at the 2009 Remax World Long Drive championships in Mesquite Nevada in October. Available in 2X, 3X and 4X flexes there’s a Claymore LD shaft for anyone that fancies them self a “Big Hitter”.

SteelFiber Woods:

While the SteelFiber technology was originally designed for iron shafts, Aerotech incorporated the design into a line of highly successful wood shafts as well. The SteelFiber wood shafts are available in three weights: 65- , 75- and 85-gram. SteelFiber wood shafts are limited to 65 grams and up due to the full layer of steel on the shafts surface. Therefore, this technology is a perfect fit for fairway woods or by players who can benefit from a moderate weighted driver shaft. If a player is looking for all the control of a steel shaft in their driver and fairway woods but wants to benefit from the lighter weights and vibration dampening properties of graphite then the SteelFiber wood shaft is the right choice.

Powercoil HP50:

One of the best ultra light weight wood shaft values on the market. With a Retail price under $40 the Powercoil HP50 weighs in at just over 50-grams with a torque that is envious of even some of the highest priced ultra light shafts on the market. The shaft is designed so the softer flexes have progressively softer tips to help the slower swing speed players optimize launch conditions.

Powercoil HP65:

Equally the great value of its sister shaft the HP50, the Powercoil HP65 is designed for players looking for a slightly stiffer tip and lower ball flight than the 50 gram shaft. This low torque design combined with the hoop wind surface layer allows this shaft to hold up to even some of the most powerful swings. The HP65 is one of our most versatile wood shafts in our product line.

ALT470

ALT470:

The ALT470’s super flexible stiffness profile allows even the slowest speeds to load the shaft properly resulting in increased launch angles, higher spin rates and longer hang time. This all adds up to greater distance for the swing speed impaired. The ALT470 is offered in two flexes, the A2 senior squared flex and L2 ladies squared flex. Each of these two flexes is much softer than the typical senior and ladies flexes but constructed with our hoop wind surface layer making this shaft more stable and therefore playable than any other super flexible shaft available.

SteelFiber i125:

This shaft is generally preferred by stronger players that are looking to maintain the overall effort it takes to swing their steel shafted irons but wants to benefit from the vibration dampening characteristics of a composite shaft. We are able to maintain the playability of the 125 gram shaft by minimizing the wall thickness with the use of metal to increase weight instead of adding more graphite. Because graphite is 1/5th the weight of steel it would take 5 times the amount of graphite material for the same weight increase which increases wall thickness and gives the shaft a “boardy” feel. The weights of all of our SteelFiber iron shafts are manipulated using metal and graphite instead of just graphite. This is just one of the things that set the playability of the SteelFiber shafts apart from all its competitors.

SteelFiber i110:

Players looking to go a little bit lighter than the typical steel shafted irons choose the SteelFiber i110 so they can pick up some yardage while maintaining a low penetrating ball flight and avoid changing the overall feel they are accustomed to from playing steel shafts. The player will also take advantage of the reduced vibrations of a composite shaft resulting in fewer injuries and less fatigue during the round.

SteelFiber i95:

The SteelFiber i95 is a great transition into a lighter weight iron shaft without going too light and substantially changing the feel of the club during the swing. The 95 gram weight allows the player to see some good improvement in distance while still maintaining pinpoint accuracy and incredibly consistent distance control. If a player has been losing distance in their steel shafted irons but still wants to maintain every bit of consistency the i95 is a great choice.

SteelFiber i80:

Our number one selling SteelFiber iron shaft, the i80, gives a player all of the benefits of a 100% graphite shaft but with remarkable control and consistency. Whether a player is looking to get back the valuable yardage they lost over the years or has been playing a 100% graphite shaft that is too light and lost their accuracy the SteelFiber i80 can really do it all.

SteelFiber i70:

The lightest SteelFiber shaft in our lineup is a great shaft for those slower swing speed players looking to gain as much yardage as possible. This shaft is offered in a wide range of flexes and can hold up to even the most demanding swings. You won’t find a more stable 75 gram iron shaft anywhere. If a player is looking for all of the swing speed they can get or they’re looking to play the golf club substantially over length and want to maintain a reasonable swing weight the i70 is the right choice.

Players Spec Ami99:

With its SteelFiber construction and ascending mass weight progression the Players Spec Ami99 is the most technically advanced iron shaft Aerotech produces. Shaft weights ascend from 95 grams in the 3 iron to 110 grams in the pitching wedge. A player that’s looking for long irons that are as easy to hit as the SteelFiber i95 and short irons with the control of the SteelFiber i110, this is the shaft choice for you. The Players Spec iron shaft is more expensive to produce and therefore this technology comes at a higher price, but for a player looking for the highest performance in this weight range you can’t beat the Players Spec.

main

SteelFiber Hybrid:

The SteelFiber technology is a natural fit into the hybrid shaft category. While most players still play steel in their irons almost all golfers play graphite in their drivers and fairway woods. The SteelFiber hybrid shaft construction features the perfect blend of these two materials providing for a smooth transition from irons to woods which is where hybrid club category falls. The SteelFiber technology allows a golfer to hit their hybrids with the accuracy of a steel shaft yet creates the launch angles and spin rates needed for a hybrid club to perform as it was intended. The SteelFiber hybrid shafts are offered in two different tip diameters, the HLS75 (Hybrid Long Iron shaft) with a .370-inch tip and the HFS75 (Hybrid Fairway Shaft) with a .335-inch tip.
